Sprinkled Cupcakes

Tonight was my "little" and my second night together. Each week I get to pick up my little and hang out with her. I truly lucked out with this one. She's outgoing, smart, funny and a pure joy to be around. Last week we started off with ice skating and some hot cocoa, which was a ton of fun. This week, cupcake baking and Wii playing at my place. I read the instructions to the cupcake recipe while she measured and mixed. We licked the bowl, oogled over my cake decorating kit and licked the inside of the iciing bags.

Truth be told the cupcakes came out look anything short of a kitchen disaster, but she loved them and added sprinkles with her special touch, and all of the sudden they were cool cupcakes.

We then played bowling on the Wii where we got to high five and congratulate eachother every step of the way. We had no idea that 4 hours had passed when it was time to take her home.
Next week: her birthday. I know this because it is a constant in every conversation I've had with her from the moment we met. I feel a movie, some ice cream and a present in order. I can't wait!

*On a side note, I will admit that I didn't feed the child dinner. We simply had soda, animal crackers and cupcakes with milk on the side. Yikes!*

The companionship will last longer than dinner would have - I'm sure it wasn't the end of the world to her. Wonderful cupcakes! Love you! Marmee

She will love you forever for that night ... and probably did not even notice the lack of dinner!
