Why did nobody tell me that growing plants from seeds takes an eternity? Because of this, I opted to go down to a nursery and get pre-started bell pepper, lettuce and tomato plants for the bigger pots I have. While preparing for the transplanting of my seedlings I was browsing through the soils Walmart and Target had to offer. Did anyone else notice how Miracle-Gro has a warning on the bag that says "Do not use without Gloves?!" Something rubbed me wrong about that, so off to the nursery we went where I got an organic soil and even a discount on one of the bags that had a hole in it.
So far so good. Nothing has died yet. The tomato plant has one or two yellow leaves that I have tried to remedy, but watering it less has not helped nor has keeping it out of the sun. I'm hoping it is from being uprooted and is adjusting to its new atmosphere which does not mean I am a failure at keeping plants alive.
