Hooray for an Awesome Sunday

Sunday was just one of those perfect weekend days. Gwen slept through the night and woke up at a reasonable hour which gave us an early start to our day. We went to Walmart to get a few groceries for the week, where it wasn't crowded.  Things were stocked instead of the usual  ravaged shelves of food and rotten produce left behind for us when we get there at 3 pm. Gwen hung out in her Moby baby wrap, happy as a clam.

We zipped on over to Costco to get the remaining groceries while Gwen slept in her ergs carrier.  We hit up all the samples from the sample people who were actually pleasant instead of grumpy. Can you blame them? I'd be grumpy too from the demands of the hoards of Costco shoppers who lose all common dignity when it comes to a free sample.
We came home, enjoyed some play time, gave Gwen her first solids (which she wasn't so sure about) and after we enjoyed a great post-grocery shopping meal  with a beer. We then had enough time to take a family nap before I headed off to the movies with the girls. I loved the book, Water for Elephants and can I just say, WOW, to the movie? I didn't think they could possibly live up to the book because it is my most favorite book in all the land. Movies never live up to the book but they definitely nailed it.
Yikes, I started this blogpost with the intention of writing about my house and how awesome it is.  So I guess I can squeeze that in here too. The weather  finally warmed up around here and we got the chance to open all the windows to let some fresh air in this stuffy joint. This then made me realize that there are large gorgeous windows in nearly every wall downstairs. This makes you feel as if you're sitting outside when really you're sitting in my living room, which is AWESOME.

Hope you had a good weekend!
