Edible Homemade Fingerpaint Experience

Over the weekend we made some homemade finger paint and let the baby have her first finger painting experience. I've been on the market for finger paint but couldn't find any that was non-toxic or below $10.

The solution? Flour, sugar and water heated up and mixed with food dye. Inexpensive, easy and edible.

You can find the recipe here, Kids Activity: Edible Homemade Fingerpaint | Momtastic.

We got out paintbrushes since she's been obsessed with my makeup brushes lately.

It kept her busy for the longest any activity ever has. We also discovered that we, the parents, are not fans of finger painting and were constantly wiping our hands.

And here is her masterpiece.

Looks like art to me!
