San Francisco & King Tut

Sir Sunderland has wanted to see the King Tut exhibit in San Francisco for quite some time now. When my Uncle, who lives outside of San Fran, called and invited us down we knew what had to be done. Monday night after work, we drove down. Tuesday we headed into the city via public transportation.
Luckily my Dad has been staying at my Uncle's, fixing up his place so we got to visit with him too.
Two and a half hours later we finally got to the exhibit.
It was pretty cool. The only downfall was that after nine rooms of looking at awesome artifacts that are ridiculously preserved, you get to the main event, King Tut. Except he's not there and neither are his 10 coffins! Apparently in the 80s the Egyptian government decided his tomb was a national treasure and couldn't leave Egypt. They did have his head dress and his in-laws awesome tombs and the history was out of this world.
Sir Sunderland wanted to go to a brewery/pub that he's been wanting to go to for awhile. For what seemed like an eternity of walking, catching busses, etc. we finally got to the pub.
Needless to say, the pub was ran by a group of men stoned out of their mind. Not the best service, but Sir Sunderland won't have to wonder anymore. We had to be back home for work on Wednesday, so we drove our tired butts home.
Nothing like a nice little trip to San Francisco, enriched with some sweet Egyptian artifacts and a little beer!

Wow, I didn't know Tut himself wasn't there!! We thought about going a few months ago during one of the free days. The line for the Science Academy was 3 hours long and we didn't know if the Tut exhibit was just as bad or if it was even free. So we just decided to come back another time and went walking around the Haight.
