The Humping Bunny Cake Reveal!

It came and it conquered!
Sure, I may have added some flush on his cheeks and a bit of immature innuendo that confused some. But it was delicious and, well, ridiculous.

It was my first cake mold, and I am proud to say that it went well! I tried out a yellow cake recipe and made sure to coat the pan with crisco and flour and that baby popped out like it was nothing. I made my favorite buttercream frosting and tried this recipe out:

Basic Yellow Cake
found on Wilton.com
1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 cups  flour
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease cake pan with shortening that has been sprinkled with flour. Mix together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. Cream sugar and butter together until light. Add eggs and vanilla to creamed mixture and beat until thoroughly mixed. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition. Continue beating one minute.

Fill cake pan leaving plenty of room for rising! Learn from my rookie mistake. Just because the entire batch fits into the pan, doesn't mean you should put it all in there! It's  going to bubble over and make a disaster of your oven!

It came out a beautiful golden yellow and was super tasty....and funny : )

Just incase you want one and Wal*Mart's out
