A Mario Cake

Sir Sunderland has a story he likes to tell about when his little sister was born:
While his Mom went through labor, he was spending time with his grandmother. As a 5 year old little boy he told his Grandma that he would like to get his little sister the best gift ever, a Mario cake. We all know that in his 5 year old mind the Mario cake was really for him and naturally, Grandma didn't oblige. It was so unmemorable for Grandma that she doesn't even recall this story, but Sir Sunderland certainly does and has told it quite a few times in the past few months.

Over the weekend we got a phone call from his little sister, asking if we were home because there was something she'd like to give us. Any guesses as to what it was?

She couldn't find any Mario themed cake decorations so made her own (very well, I might add). And don't even get me started on her cute little swirlies in the frosting.
