Thanksgiving is a little over a week away. I have never been this excited to go home for the holidays. As newlyweds we faced the dilemma of which family we get to spend our first holiday together with. While we thought it would for sure be a difficult decision, it ended up being a simple one.
My family is from Las Vegas, while the husband's lives an hour away from Reno. The ratio of visits is 90% the husband's family and 10% mine. The decision: Las Vegas for Thanksgiving, the husband's family's for Christmas. It turned out to be an easy one based off the fact that I wanted to see my family as soon as possible.
I have volunteered for bringing (hide your surprise) apple pie, and also to make the place cards. I am very excited about my idea that involves pumpkins. I found the perfect ones at a grocery store and picked up 12 of them. Here's a little bit of a tease. More to come on the development of what I hope will work out to be great place cards.
