Ok, they've already been here. Somebody at Sir Sunderland's office graced us with a Girl Scout cookie order form about a month ago. Sure we ordered thin mints and caramel delights and some new cookie called a "thanks-a-lot." But don't we all forget that we even ordered them until it was time? I came home to a GIANT grocery sack on top of my fridge. I thought it was weird and made a note to myself to ask the husband about it later. Later came and I discovered that they were the fabled girl scout cookies, sans a few eaten by Sir Sunderland, of course.
Tonight, after eating dinner we were on the couch watching Lost. Now, imagine being in a movie theater watching an interesting movie and someone behind you is opening a candy bar in the loudest way possible. That was me, tearing into each box of Girl Scout cookies while the husband was enthralled with Lost. It came to him pausing the show, giving me the dirtiest look ever and threatening to take them away (the joke is on him, I had just ran out of milk when I grabbed that last cookie).
Ahhh, what a great joy to have Girl Scout cookies. The spring Oreos in our pantry have already disappeared under the shadows of those oh-so-delicious Girl Scout cookies.
