A Beery Friday Night

This is going to be a pictureless post, but I feel I have to tell someone about our amazing night last night, pictures or not.
It started off with a horrible day at work which lead to us going out for beers. We invited our friends and met at a trendy bar in a trendy neighborhood. Chilled upstairs on their roof, drinking disgusting beer, we opted to go to my girlfriend's house.
Said girlfriend lives in the nicest neighborhood in Reno. It's the older part of town lined with lush trees, kids playing in the street and neighbors exchanging plants and recipes. Their next door neighbor is a homebrewer (of beer) and flies a flag (which has a beer stein on it) when he wants to share his beer. We had heard of this before and never thought we'd get the opportunity to enjoy in this festivity, but we did!
As we pulled up to their driveway, the beer flag was proudly displayed and in their backyard were lit tiki torches, candles and a roaring fire in the middle of their driveway. Beer was everywhere, in kegs in a fridge in their garage and being brewed right there off of their backstoop. We all got to enjoy this delicious beer the neighbor made while enjoying ourselves by the fire.
How amazing is that? Just a Friday night in this awesome movie-esque neighborhood. I'm so glad we ditched the trendy bar to enjoy suburbia at its best!
