Eggs....grrrr

In preperation for Easter on Sunday, I am doing what I can in advance. I volunteered to bring 3 things:
  • Deviled eggs
  • Green Bean Casserole
  • Relief Society Potatoes (recipe soon to follow)
Sir Sunderland's family is large, so there are going to be about 13 people over for Easter dinner. Naturally I went to Costco to pickup the necessities for my proportion of the meal. I came down the egg aisle, picked out my eggs and came to a sample for gourmet popcorn at the end. Now, popcorn is one of my all time favorite things. You can understand how in my haste to get ALL 3 flavors of gourmet popcorn, with a block of cheese in my hand I chucked the cheese into the cart....on top of the eggs. Luckily only one broke and didn't make a mess. I will admit I exchanged my broken one for a new one (is that wrong? I feel like it is).
Just last week I had another egg incident at Walmart. This was not as hush hush as the one at Costco. It plopped right on the floor and smashed. I picked it up, put it next to the other broken ones on the bottom of the shelf after staring at it and around me to see if anyone noticed.
Fast forward to this evening. I put a pot of water to boil the eggs in on the stove. Sir Sunderland alerts me when it's boiling. I hurry to do whatever it was I thought I needed to do next, looked in the pot and remembered that I was supposed to put the eggs in before boiling the water. Lord only knows what's going to happen when I actually make the eggs!
Is it just me or do I have a slight problem with these eggs or just eggs in general?

I hope they turned out okay! I don't have a problem with eggs generally but I don't put them in until it starts to boil, and then I do it very gently. Every once in a while one will break, but oh well!

Sounds like those eggs are being eggs-tra difficult to work with recently.

Sorry.
I couldn't help it.
