Last night was Sir Sunderland's 25th birthday. We enjoyed our Steak Charles (New York steak with horesradish, gorgonzola and onion straws on top) outside of our favorite restaurant, next to the fire as the evening thunderstorms rolled in. Without the option of Sir Sunderland's favorite dessert, lava cake, we opted to take our birthday dessert enjoyment elsewhere.
Walking into Coldstone, after oohing and awwing over the cupcakes, we were greeted by an employee kindly letting us know their credit card machine was down. Without any cash, we drove to the McDonald's drive thru.
"Welcome to McDonald's can I take your order?"
"Yes, I'd like a medium oreo mcflurry."
"We're out of ice cream."
"WHAT?!?!?!"
I am proud to say Sir Sunderland kept his composure as we drove to Starbucks. It was apparently not an ice cream birthday kind of night.

happy birthday to your hubby! and sorry that dessert was not in the cards for his special day. i remember going to KFC many years ago and they ever so kindly told us that they were OUT OF CHICKEN!! what????? =)
