5 Things To Do This Week

1. Springs Lawn Basics Seminar at Moana Nursery

Surprisingly there is a lot going on in the second week of March. Who would've thought? My top pick for the week actually has nothing to do with children, nor can you bring them, but it's all about keeping your grass alive. This thrills me to no end, seeing as we are clueless homeowners with lots of grass, pets and no clue how to maintain it. Let's just say we need to go. Anyone care to babysit?

2. Hands/ON! Free Family Program at NV Museum of Art

Don't fret, there are plenty of other things to do that involve the children, like the Second Saturday event at the Nevada Museum of Art. Not only is admission free but they have an amazing hands on schedule of events that includes making stained glass, kaleidoscopes (man, I get really excited about those, they're so simple but so cool) and a film screening of My Fair Lady (IN THE MUSEUM).

3. Build a Mini Basketball Hoop at Lowe’s

The kids can build a sweet basketball hoop at Lowe's

4. Learn About Pets

Are your kids bugging you to get a pet? Bring them on by the Pet Event hosted by the Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada Troop #497 and learn all about animal care, pet issues and how you can help the Humane Society.

And oh yea, get you some girl scout cookies this week. There is an awesome page on their website where you can enter your zip code and they will give you the nearest cookie booth and hours. Does it get any better than that?

5. Make a T-Shirt Tote Bag- Free at Michael's

And last but not least, make a bag from a tshirt at Michaels. Just buy a cheap t-shirt, they provide the rest.

And there you have it. 5 things to do this week. Can't wait to hear about your adventures!

Don't forget, this is just a sampling of our events calendar. Check it out for more things to do.
