Father's Day 2012

This Father's Day was filled with a grand family get together that celebrated my husband and his birthday as well as his father and his birthday. We typically host this celebration at our house, so we celebrated amongst our own little family in advance, on Saturday.

Apparently we've begun the tradition of taking the great Daddy-O out for his favorite breakfast treat, a delicious bagel with way too much cream cheese followed by a muffin for later from My Favorite Muffin.

Somebody wasn't a fan of her adorable baby chocolate chip muffin. Apparently if it's not a chocolate chip cookie, it's not good enough for her. What can I say, she's a smart girl with discerning chocolate chip taste.

Anyways, it goes without saying Gwyneth's one lucky girl to have such an amazing father. He's there for it all to the point sometimes I am fairly certain I would never survive without him. He's the sounding board for when I get completely crazy with some obscure parenting idea, the name Gwyneth repeats most often, the one who reads her countless books at night, who she reserves the enjoyment of mega blocks for and the one who makes sure she gets her flouride every night. What can I say? He's a pretty awesome father and we're two lucky girls.

Also, here's a great read from one of my all-time favorite bloggers, Nat the Fat Rat on Letting Dads be Dads.
