Weekly Dinner Menu

I'm sure you've noticed we have a bit of repeats from last week. We naturally strayed from our menu by going out a few nights, or simply not making dinner and will put them to use this week.
As far as our new recipe of the week last week, chicken cordon bleu, we were not fans and it will not be making the staples menu.  It was dry, bland and not worth the hour it took Sir Sunderland to make. My mashed potatoes came out tasting like, well, mashed potatoes. I used milk, half and half, tons of butter, salt and pepper but they are still lacking the flavor I'm looking for. Any ideas?

I know this is going to sound weird but my kids like it when I add Mayonaise to the mashed potatoes (it gives it just a little bit of a kick) and the new olive oil mayo is pretty healthy.
