This weekend I hosted a simple birthday party of my own with my husband's family. It was all centered around this cute polka dot cupcake holder. I was so excited to have an excuse to use my cupcake tree I had gotten for Christmas (as there are very limited events for a 24 year old newlywed to use one). Sure, I've used it for bridal showers (my own and my best friend's) and after that I was deduced to bringing it to work for no reason whatsoever. While out looking for party plates, I came across these adorable guys and the party "theme" was born. Pink, yellow and green. The only problem was the fact that I made chocolate cupcakes, which kind of masked the cuteness of the cupcake holders, but I knew how cute they were, and that's all that matters, right? We had hamburgers, potatoes and plenty of chips and dips. Presents were opened and the cupcake tree was lit up with loads of candles. I must say that I thoroughly enjoy baking cupcakes, frosting them and am always looking for new ideas and recipes. After getting a new cupcake holder and cake decorating kit, I have to say I can't wait for the next reason to use the cupcake tree!
