Wreath Party

It's that time of year! Our now traditional wreath party.
The girl on the very left bought a beautiful new house and we got to go make our wreaths in it. Not only did she just officially get her keys, she hosted a party! We had a bit of a snow storm and her new house is kind of up in the hills. It was nice and snowy while we sat on the couch with the fire lit, reading Christmas stories (what? you don't do that with your friends?). My contribution, of course, cupcakes.
I do believe the crushed candy cane is my signature holiday look this year. I made some chocolate chocolate chip cookies and threw some peppermint extract in and crushed peppermint on top (that did not turn out well). I didn't put any peppermint extract in the cupcakes, but topped them with crushed candy canes to give it a holiday look. I've learned my lesson with peppermint extract. It's only good with melted chocolate chips on ritz crackers. Mmmm.
It was a great time and the snow is still falling.
